reiki heart handsReiki is a powerful, non-invasive technique for restoring and balancing the body’s natural energy flow.

While being effective alone, Reiki also works synergistically with all other types of healing, neither conflicted nor interfering with other modalities or protocol. It is strong preventive energy medicine, addressing disease before symptoms manifest by healing prolonged energy imbalances. As a way of controlling the stress and anxiety associated with disease and crisis, it gently calms the mind an demotions providing a positive context for healing. Reiki has been shown to relieve pain, slow pulse and respiration rates, lower blood pressure, and boost the ability of the blood to carry oxygen. It has a deep relaxation effect.

The Reiki client receives the healing on a massage table, fully clothed (and it can also be done in a chair, in a outdoor setting, or in a hospital bed). Hands are placed on or just above different areas of the body with the intent of bringing the body into balance on every level: mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical. Reiki assists the body to self heal. Reiki energy has its own innate intelligence and will simply go where it is most needed.
